When I first started reading Communion with God by Neale Donald Walsch I was unable to stick with it. At that point in my life I had already recognized that there is or will be a right time to read every (non-fiction/inspirational, personal development or self-transformational) book I buy. To be ready I mean ready to hear, internalize and master the messages and/or lessons. However, be aware that all three of these may not happen at the same time! So, keep all non-fiction books you bought because you were drawn to them and bought them for a reason.

The first section is “The Ten Illusions of Humans” and the first illusion is the Illusion of Need. My inability to process this information led me to a path of researching and contemplating ‘needs.’ (You will read more about what I came up with at a later date.)

Somewhere I read a mantra or affirmation that said “I have everything I need.” But I had a hard time digesting that. So for me it had to be changed so I could truly grasp and internalize it. I changed it to “I have access to everything I need.” This sat better with me and helped me to understand the illusion better.

Reaching out for help, using your resources and relying on people are the access. Although reaching out for help and relying on people are out of my comfort zone, I knew that I was being faced with this situation so I could practice and face those fears.

I still have difficulty with this from time to time, but being aware of the access helps me and guides me by letting me know I am not alone in any of this.

More specifically, it reminds me that there is a higher power watching over me, orchestrating events that will bring me to my highest good, even if I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel yet. This helps with acceptance of what is.

May you perceive and receive all your blessings.

With Much Love,

Rev. Michele
