Do you have any rituals or family traditions you do for birthdays? Do you still make wishes on your birthday?

I received a gift one birthday that has enhanced every birthday since and I’d like to share the beauty with you, so you can have it on your special day or pass it on for someone else’s.

I received a kit entitled Rituals: Light for the Soul by Michael Davis. It contained a book, two sets of cards and three candles. One pack of cards and the book include invocations.* there is one for every known occasion that can be made special.

The Birthday Invocation is as follows:

I wish for what has yet to be

I see it coming true

I carry this wish inside of me

Until this day is through

I give it up to the winds of change

To the wisdom most supreme

And ask, if it for the highest good

May I manifest my dream

A sense of peace washed over me. [This site will fulfill my “dream,” and I believe that it is for the highest good to help people learn, grow, awaken, heal, and receive messages about their paths.]

I recently was thinking about having new experiences and “Bucket Lists.” I thought it would be a good idea to start a list when you are young; a Life’s To-Do List. And every year on your birthday, friends and family get a copy of your list and get together to make one thing happen. Let me know what you think.

* If you prefer a different term, synonyms for invocations include chants, prayers, and incantations.

I would love to hear about your rituals.

May you perceive and receive all your blessings.

With Much Love,

Rev. Michele
